The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) witnessed a continuation of Fraternal politics in its recent Students’ Union (SU) elections. INSAF alliance formed by Fraternity Movement and other organizations, achieved a clean sweep of all central positions defeating the whole ABVP Panel and a left front candidate. Notably, Fraternity Movement’s unit vice president Rana Basheer marked a decisive victory in the General Secretary position, prevailing over recurring challenges from both Right and left groups.
This outcome reaffirms the decision of the campus to align with the fraternal politics, to assert the power of oppressed unity and marks the enthusiasm to cancel the Sangh parivar Agendas from the country’s one and only Language University. Fraternity Movement succeeded in keeping the legacy of leading the most crucial and powerful position of EFLU SU, which was last held by Fraternity’s own Samar Ali in 2019. In addition to this landslide victory, Fraternity Movement claimed unchallenged victory in councillor seats for BA English and Literary Studies.
