Fraternity Movement expresses deepest condolences on the demise of Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi, DMK chief and five-time chief minister of Tamil Nadu.
He was a true inheriter of Dravidian movement who ensured social justice, equal rights to women in heriditary properties, legalised inter-caste marriages and appointment of Archakas in TN temples irrespective of the caste etc. He was also instrumental in implementing Mandal commission report and a strong believer of federalism.
Fraternity Movement stands with the bereaved family and DMK members in this time of profound grief. We hope the people of Tamil Nadu will carry forward his Dravidian legacy with utmost vigour and commitment.
